No — your degree will not indicate that you completed your coursework online. Upon graduation, you’ll have earned either an Advanced Certificate or a Master of Public Health from San Diego State University.

Our online public health programs are 100% online, saving you time and money spent commuting to campus. Courses are eight weeks and most are fully asynchronous, which means you’ll be able to attend class when it fits your busy schedule. There are weekly assignments that could include discussion board responses, group exercises, and papers based on reading assignments.

Our online public health graduate programs cost $604 per credit. This totals $30,804 for both 51-credit master’s programs and $9,060 for our 15-credit certificate program. This cost includes base tuition plus fees for Associated Students, Technology, and Student Engagement.

Yes! You can take one 3-unit course before being accepted into our advanced certificate program. Please note that courses taken before acceptance are not eligible for financial aid. Once you are accepted or matriculated, the courses are eligible for financial aid.

All of our online public health programs are approved for financial aid. In most cases, SDSU Global Campus students are eligible for assistance through FAFSA, Pell Grants, military benefits, SDSU scholarships, and other opportunities.

When you enroll in an academic program at SDSU Global Campus, you’re joining the San Diego State University community even if you’re not on campus. This means that you’ll have access to many of the same services, programs, cultural centers, clubs, and resources that SDSU’s on-campus students enjoy.
